Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief -
"i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 i.e. Tehsildar, Shahganj, District Jaunpur to expedite the Case No.902 of 2012 (New Case No.09042 of 2018) Computerized Case No.T201814360109042, under Section 35 of Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006 (Maulana Abdul Raheem Vs. Manjoor Ahmad), pending before him, within stipulated period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
By means of this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction for expeditious disposal of a case under Section 34 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act for mutation pending before the Tehsildar, Tehsil Shahganj, District Jaunpur.
It has been submitted that the aforesaid case is pending consideration since the year 2012.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2, Tehsildar, Tehsil Shahganj, District Jaunpur to endeavour to decide the case of the petitioner expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
