JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner claims to be a member of the respondent bank, to the Managing Committee of which, election is notified as per Ext.P4. Petitioner's grievance is with respect to the demarcation of wards, which, according to him, is not in consonance with the bye-laws. The election is scheduled on 22.11.2014. It is trite that Article 226 cannot be invoked on such contentions, to interdict elections notified to a Co-operative Society; which would require factual adjudication. The petitioner, if he is a member and is a person included in the voters' list, would be left with his remedies, which he can pursue in a properly instituted election petition. Reserving such liberty, the writ petition is closed.
K. Vinod Chandran, Judge.
