Heard Sri Rajesh Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Shashank Shekhar Singh, learned counsel for respondent nos.2, 3 and 4. Sri Abrar Ahmad, Central Government Standing Counsel files his Parcha on behalf of respondent no.1.
The petitioner in the writ petition is seeking quashing of the order dated 8 May 2018 passed by the Deputy Registrar, (Cadre Review Section), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh whereby his claim for sanction of Pay Band of Rs.37400-67000 with Grade Pay of Rs.9000/-, has been rejected.
It is not disputed that the petitioner has been granted the Selection Grade in Pay Scale of Rs.12000-18300 (unrevised) w.e.f. 30 August 2005, as stated by him in his own representation dated 20 January 2018 addressed to the Deputy Registrar of the University (Annexure-18 to the writ petition). The Deputy Registrar of the University by the impugned order has rejected the claim of the petitioner. The petitioner has then submitted a representation dated 15 May 2018 before the Registrar of the Aligarh Muslim University (Annexure-22 to the writ petition) which is stated to have been not decided till date.
No useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to respondent no.2-Registrar, (Cadre Review Section), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh to decide the petitioner's representation dated 15 May 2018 (Annexure-22 to the writ petition) expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Alongwith the certified copy of the order, the petitioner shall also provide a copy of his representation dated 15 May 2018.
