Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records relating to the detention order in No.C2/12942/2017 dated 09.05.2017 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondent to produce the petitioner's brother Boobalan, aged 28 years, S/o.Sekar Naidu the detenu, now confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore before this Hon'ble Court and set the petitioner's brother the detenu herein at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.U.Yuvaraj For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in No.C2/12942/2017 dated 09.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu by name, Boobalan, aged 28 years, S/o.Sekar Naidu, residing at Manthaiveli Street, Chinnababusamuthiram Village, Vikravandi Taluk, Villupuram District and quash the same.
2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.2949 dated 22.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the afore said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
