Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records of the detention order dated 15.05.2017 passed in C.No.30/G/IS/2017 by the second respondent against petitioner's son M.Saranraj @ Saran, S/o.Marimuthu, aged 30 years, quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.W.Camyles Gandhi For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C.No.30/G/IS/2017 dated 15.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenu M.Saranraj @ Saran, aged 30 years, S/o.Marimuthu, residing at Door No.90-E, Naicker Thottam, Thondamuthur Road, Poosaripalayam, Coimabtore and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.3124 dated 24.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the above said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed.
