For Petitioners : Mr.S.Parameswaran For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioners.
2. It is the case of the petitioners that apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police, the petitioners moved this Court by filing a petition in Crl.O.P.No.14610 of 2016 and when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that there was neither a case registered nor petition enquiry was pending against them. Recording the said submission, this Court, by order dated 19.7.2016, closed the petition. Even thereafter, the respondent police is frequently calling the petitioners under the guise of enquiry and is harassing them. Hence, the petition.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no such harassment was made by the respondent police. He has further submitted that a sessions case in S.C.No.144 of 2015 is pending as against the petitioners.
4. Recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the present criminal original petition is closed.
