ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring that the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioner for the vacancies of sub-staff in various branches of the respondent-bank as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory and contrary to Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India.
It is agreed by both the learned counsel appearing for the parties that the issue raised in this writ petition is squarely covered by order dated 15.06.2011 passed by this Court in W.P.No. 25053 of 2000.
In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the said order with the direction that the observations made therein shall be read as part of this order. The respondents are directed that in case, any temporary sub-staff appointed along with the petitioner, or subsequent thereto, is being continued, the petitioner shall also be continued on the same terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
