JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition under Sections 437 & 439 of CR.P.C., praying that in the circumstances stated in the petition and the grounds filed herein, the High Court may be pleased to enlarge the Petitioners/Accused 1 to 4 on bail in connection with Crime No. 23 of 2014 of Podili Police Station.
The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the petition and the grounds filed herein, and upon hearing the arguments of Sri Madhava Rao Nalluri, Advocate for the Petitioners and of the Public Prosecutor on behalf of respondent- State, the Court made the following ORDER:-
“Petitioners are A1 to A4. They seek for grant of bail. They allegedly committed offences under Sections 120-B, 364-A and 384 IPC read with Section 116 IPC.
It is the case of the prosecution that the accused allegedly attempted to kidnap the de-facto complainant for ransom. It is also the case of the prosecution that some amounts were paid to the accused to avoid the kidnap. Be that as it may, the alleged kidnap has not taken place. I, therefore, consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioners on bail. However, in view of the nature of the offences, I consider it appropriate to enlarge the petitioners on bail on terms only.
Consequently, this Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioners are enlarged on bail on a personal bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only) each with two sureties each in a likesum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Podili, Prakasam District. After their release, the petitioners shall appear before the SHO, Podili Police Station on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9.00 AM and 6.00 PM for a period of three months.”
