JUDGMENT / ORDER

The first petitioner is the husband of the first respondent and others are relatives of the first petitioner. The first respondent has filed a complaint which resulted in the registration of Crime No.314/2011 by Thenjippalam police for offences under Section 498A, 406 r/w.34 IPC.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the counsel for the first respondent/de facto complainant. Heard the learned Public Prosecutor also.
3. The matter has been settled between the parties.
Annexure-A2 is the affidavit sworn to by the wife (the de facto complainant) elaborating the terms of settlement. It is seen that the matter pending before the Family Court, Malappuram was also settled between the parties. Considering the fact that the parties have settled the matter, I find that no purpose will be served by further
Crl.M.C.No.2665/2014.
2 prosecuting the case.
4. In the result, this petition is allowed. Annexure- A1 Final Report pending in CC.No.399/2012 of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Parappanangadi is hereby quashed.
