The petitioner is an M.Tech student registered in the academic year 2013-14 with the 3rd respondent College affiliated to the 1st respondent University. The petitioner had passed all the papers for B.Tech course except one paper in the 4th semester. The petitioner appeared for the supplementary examination for the paper in the 4th semester, which was held on May 2013. The above examination was held by the respondents 2 and 3 and the results of the petitioner was published later and his registration was declined only since the results were not declared in time. The date notified in Ext.P6 is, only due to the prescription of the Director of Technical Education which is applicable only to Government and Aided Colleges. It has been found so and similarly placed students were held to be entitled to registration in the judgment in W.P(C) No.6797/2014 dated 31.03.2014. In such circumstances, following the aforesaid WPC.No.11154/2014 : 2 :
judgment, the writ petition is allowed directing the Controller of Examinations to register the petitioner's name for M.Tech Course for the 2013-14 batch.
