The Civil Revision Petition is filed by the defendants 1 to 3, 13, 14, 16, 19, 23, 30, 59 and 62 for the limited prayer to direct the District Munsif Court, Dharmapuri to dispose off the suit O.S.No.71 of 2004 at an early date.
2. The first respondent, the plaintiff Handloom Weavers Co-operative Production and Sales Society Limited, filed the suit O.S.No.22 of 2000 before the Sub Court, Dharmapuri and the same has been transferred to the District Munsif Court, Dharmapuri and renumbered as O.S.No.71 of 2004. The grievance of the revision petitioners is that the suit is of the year 2000. After lapse of more than 9 years, the suit has not been taken up for trial.
3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for and the suit is of the year 2000, the court below is directed to take up the suit and dispose off as expeditiously as possible on merits subject to seniority preferably before the end of December, 2009. This Civil Revision Petition is ordered accordingly.
