Petitioner's statutory appeal under Rule-20 of the U.P. Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks ( Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991 is stated to have remained pending since 6.3.2017 against the order of punishment passed earlier.
This petition has been filed for a direction upon the appellate authority to dispose of petitioner's appeal.
In the facts and circumstances of the present case, this petition is disposed of with a direction upon the appellate authority to dispose of the petitioner's pending appeal, at the earlist possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order.
