JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has filed an application for condonation of attendance. Condonation is only sought for, according to the submission of the petitioner, for 2½ days. However, the University has returned the application for the reason that, condonation can only be granted on medical grounds and that, there is no medical certificate accompanying the application. It is also noticed in Ext.P8 memo that, the period of suspension from 20.08.2004 to 30.08.2014 cannot be considered as a genuine reason for condonation. In any event, since the application is pending with the recommendation of the Principal, it is only proper that the petitioner be permitted to appear for the examination. However, the appearance shall be provisional and results shall not be published unless the WP(C).30919/14 2 application is allowed by the Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor shall consider the application only after hearing the 4th respondent and also after getting full details from the 4th respondent regarding the petitioner's attendance. The writ petition is disposed of.
