1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and perused the record.
2. Petitioner is seeking a mandamus commanding private respondents-5 to 11 not to interfere in his possession over land in dispute.
3. This writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution is nothing but a suit for injunction against private persons for which remedy lies in common law by filing a suit for injunction. The writ petition for the said purpose is not maintainable.
4. Dismissed accordingly.
