Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The husband of the petitioner was working as Extension Officer and had retired on 31.12.2020.
It appears that husband of the petitioner was awarded punishment by order dated 26.11.2020 against which he preferred statutory appeal before the President, Governing Body, Uttar Pradesh, Ganna Shod Parishad, Lucknow.
The husband of the petitioner has expired on 07.05.2021 during the pendency of appeal.
In the aforesaid backdrop, petitioner has approached this Court praying for a direction upon respondent no.2 to decide the appeal of her husband Late Brij Raj Singh, annexure 7 to the writ petition, expeditiously, preferably within a time bound period.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the case and with the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2-President Governing Body, U.P. Ganna Shodh Parishad, Lucknow to decide the appeal, annexure 7 to the writ petition, of the husband of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of copy of this order downloaded from the official website of High Court, Allahabad duly certified by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of subject to the observations made above.
