For Petitioner : Mr.K.Balu For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.13 of 2014 before the concerned court within the time stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Selvakumar and others, he has lodged a complaint and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.13 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 193, 196, 209, 467, 471, 474 and 475 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 28.05.2014, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.13 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
