Learned counsel for the petitioner is permitted to implead the Organizing Chairman (JEE) Advance-2020, I.I.T. Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi as co-respondent no. 5 in the array of parties.
Sri Arjun Mitra, learned counsel and Sri H. N. Pandey, learned counsel for the respondents contend that the competent authority to redress the grievances of the petitioner, are respondent no.4, Organizing Chairman, I.I.T. Roorkee, Uttrakhand and his successor, respondent no. 5, Organizing Chairman (JEE) Advance-2020, I.I.T. Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.
At this stage, Sri Siya Ram Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner undertakes to make a representation regarding his grievances before the respondent no. 4 or his successor, i.e. respondent no. 5.
The grievances of the petitioner require verification of facts and enquiry by the competent authority.
With consent of parties, the matter is remitted to the respondent no.4, Organizing Chairman, I.I.T. Roorkee, Uttrakhand and his successor respondent no. 5, Organizing Chairman (JEE) Advance-2020, I.I.T. Delhi, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.
With the consent of parties the following directions are being issued:
1. The petitioner shall make his representation highlighting his grievances before the respondent no. 4 or his successor respondent no. 5 within a period of ten days.
2. The respondent no. 4 or his successor respondent no.5 shall decide the representation of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a representation.
3. In case the respondents find that the petitioner was penalized by cancellation of his admission for no fault of his, his claim for admission shall be processed in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of finally.
