JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioners are accused 1 to 5 in Crime No.254 of 2014 of the Kannur City Police station for the offences punishable under Sec.143, 147, 148, 341, 324 and 308 read with Sec.149 of the Indian Penal Code, apprehend arrest and have filed the application. 2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application. It is submitted that on 05.04.2014 at about 12 a.m., the defacto complainant who was standing near a temple was assaulted with knife and iron rod. The 1st petitioner used knife which is not recovered. The 4th petitioner used iron rod.
3. Learned counsel has requested for bail.
4. Having regard to the nature of allegations made and the investigation required to be done, request for pre arrest bail cannot be allowed.
5. It is directed that in case the petitioners are arrested they shall be produced before the jurisdictional magistrate as early as possible.
The application is disposed of as above.
