Petitioner is permitted to correct the description of respondent no. 3 in the array of parties during the course of the day.
Grievance of the petitioner is that two Constables had died in a road accident in 2010. While widow of late Ranvir Singh was sanctioned extra ordinary pension, the petitioner, who is a widow of late Shyam Babu, has been denied such benefit. It is stated that repeated representations by the petitioner, in that regard, have not been considered so far.
Learned standing counsel submits that petitioner's claim shall be considered by the authority concerned, in accordance with law, at the first instance.
In the facts and circumstances of the case, noticed above, this petition stands disposed of by permitting the petitioner to approach the respondent no. 3, along with certified copy of this order, within a period of two weeks from today, annexing therewith all materials in support of her claim. The authority concerned shall take an appropriate decision, in that regard, within a further period of three months thereafter, in accordance with law.
