THE HON’BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 37679 of 2013 ORDER: (Per the Hon’ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) This writ petition is filed for a writ of Habeas Corpus to produce Zamerunnisa Begum, Rafiuddin and Mohd. Anwar Sharif before this Court.
Counter affidavit is filed by the Inspector of Police, Prakashnagar Police Station, Rajahmundry Urban, East Godavari District, stating that the above- named persons, who figured as the accused in Crime Nos.221 and 222 of 2013 on the file of the Prakashnagar Police Station, Rajahmundry, were arrested in connection therewith and were produced before the II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Rajahmundry on 23.12.2013.
In the light of the above averment in the counter affidavit, the writ petition is dismissed leaving it open to the petitioner to invoke the remedies available in law. In consequence, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed. No costs.
