(ORAL) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for quashing of the order dated 21.02.02018 passed by the Appellate Authority to the extent that the Stay Application moved by the petitioner in Appeal bearing No. C 201802000000184 (Smt. Malati Devi vs State of UP and others) has been rejected.
Mr Diwakar Tiwari, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the appeal itself has been listed for hearing by the Appellate Authority on 03.04.2018.
Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the controversy, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to keep in mind the time prescribed under the U.P. Essential Commodities (Regulation of Sale and Distribution Control) Order, 2016 and make an effort to decide the appeal itself on merits within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
