Heard counsel for the petitioners and Sri Ved Byas Mishra, learned counsel for respondent no.4 as well as learned Standing counsel for the State-respondents.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Assistant Registrar, Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur to pass appropriate orders and conduct the election of the Committee of Management namely Anjuman Islamiya, Deoria within stipulated period of time.
Today, a detail order has been passed by this Court in Writ-C No. 39867 of 2019, in which, direction was issued to hold the election on the next date fixed i.e. 29th December, 2019.
In view of the above, I do not find any good ground to issue any direction to the Assistant Registrar, Gorakhpur Region, Gorakhpur, as the election process had already been started and some of the petitioners had already been filled their nomination papers.
The writ petition lacks merit and is accordingly dismissed.
