1. In the present petition the petitioner has challenged the suspension order dated 10.10.2018 pending disciplinary proceedings.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was not paid salary for one and a half year and, therefore, he filed a writ petition being Writ-A No.20983 of 2018. This Court in aforesaid writ petition vide order dated 09.10.2018 directed the Managing Director and Deputy Project Director to file personal affidavits. Annoyed by the act of the petitioner approaching this Court in a writ for release of salary and a direction by this Court to file personal affidavits of Managing Director and Deputy Project Director, the petitioner has been placed on suspension in a malafide and arbitrary manner abusing the powers vested in them.
3. There is no dispute that an employee can be placed on suspension pending disciplinary enquiry. The suspension order is dated 10.10.2018 and till date charge-sheet has not been issued as informed by learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. In view of the aforesaid, the respondents are directed to conclude disciplinary proceedings within a period of four months from today, failing which the petitioner would be entitled for reinstatement.
5. With the aforesaid direction/observation the present writ petition is disposed of.
