1. By way of captioned appeal, the original appellant, who has been convicted by the judgment dated 30.11.2011 passed by the learned 4th Additional Sessions Judge, Palanpur at Banaskantha in Special (ACB) Case No.61 of 2008, for the offences under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and he was sentenced for R.I. for one year and fine of Rs.500/-, and in default S.I. for one month for the offences punishable under Section 7 of the Act, R.I. for one year and fine of Rs.500/-, and in default S.I. for one month for the offence punishable under Section 12 of the Act, and R.I. for two years and fine of Rs.4,000/-, and in default S.I. for one month for the offences punishable under Section 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of the Act.
2. The applicant preferred above-referred appeal which came to be admitted by this Court on 21.12.2011. On the same day the applicant-appellant was released on bail passing a detailed order in Criminal Misc. Application No.16702 of 2011.
3. The present application is filed by the applicant with a request to expedite the hearing of appeal on the ground that the applicant is dismissed from the service since he has been convicted by the trial court. Because of his dismissal, his family members along with him would have difficulties to survive.
4. Though the matter is called out twice in the first session and again in the second session, learned advocate appearing for the applicant has not remained present. I have perused the application and I do not find any special reasons to expedite the appeal which is admitted by this Court in December 2011. Hence, the application is rejected.
