Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent herein C3.D.O.No.44/2017 dated 02.05.2017 and quash the same and produce the detenu Ashokan, aged 32 years, S/o.Panchatcharam, TPDA No.7204, now detained at Central Prison, Vellore, Vellore District, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.K.G.Senthil Kumar For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in C3.D.O.No.44/2017 dated 02.05.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenue by name, Asokan, aged 32 years, S/o.Panchatcharam and quash the same.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has represented to the effect that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.2806 dated 14.06.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the afore said factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
