Petitioner complains that Deputy Superintendent of Police, Attingal, is harassing him at the instance of three persons enumerated in Ext.P1. He has addressed Ext.P1 to the Director General of Police. If one adverts to the provisions of the Police Act, there are sufficient statutory provisions which authorise the competent police superior authority to take action in case of harassment. Under such circumstances, this writ petition is dismissed without prejudice to the petitioner seeking relief from the competent police authority, if he has any sustained case of harassment by any police officer.
