Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
Petitioner is before this Court with a prayer commanding the District Magistrate, Banda/respondent no. 2 to extend the cartridge 200 for purchasing in calendar year and also direct for maximum to be possessed at any given time 100 cartridges per firearm to the petitioner.
Regarding his grievance the petitioner has moved a detailed representation dated 1.10.2017 and reminder dated 26.2.2018 and as such requested that the same may be decided expeditiously.
At the very outset, learned Standing Counsel has placed the G.O. dated 8.10.2018 before the Court and has drawn attention of the Court towards para 8 and 9 of the said G.O. It is sought to be contended that the claim of the petitioner has to be decided in the light of the said G.O. and in case the representation is still pending and has not been decided, the same will be considered and decided expeditiously.
In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue and with the consent of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of finally with a direction to the second respondent to decide the petitioner's aforesaid representation in the light of the G.O. dated 8.10.2018 by a speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order before him.
