JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioners are accused Nos.3 and 8, in Crime No.557 of 2014 of the Pandalam Police Station for the offences punishable under Secs.143, 147, 148, 324, 326, 307, 427 and 332 of the Indian Penal Code, are in custody from 19.04.2014 and seek bail.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application.
It is submitted that on 17.04.2014 at about 6.30p.m due to political rivalry, the petitioners and others formed unlawful assembly, attacked the de facto complainant with iron rod, inflicted serious injuries on the de facto complainant and others and damaged autorikshaw. It is submitted that the remaining accused are yet to be arrested.
3. Learned counsel has submitted that the allegations are not true.
4. Having regard to the nature of allegations and considering the stage of investigation, request for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
The application is dismissed without prejudice to the petitioners moving again after the investigation has progressed.
