Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Dr. S.B. Singh who appears for the respondent No. 3 and 4.
This petition has been preferred for a direction being issued for the University being commanded to decide the representation dated 25 October 2018. A further prayer is made for the continuance of the petitioners and to permit them to record their presence in the attendance register.
Learned counsel on instructions states that the petitioners were engaged on casual basis and dependent upon exigencies of work. He further draws the attention of the Court to a detailed judgment rendered by a learned Judge in Bhupendra Tiwari And 14 Others Vs. Union of India and 3 Others [Writ-A No. 27162 of 2018] which governs the issue of regularisation and continuation of ad hoc and daily wage employees in the University.
Learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 states that the decision rendered in Bhupendra Tiwari shall be followed by the University.
In view thereof and since the issues stand concluded by that decision, no cause arises for issuance of the writs as prayed for.
The writ petition is dismissed.
