Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State.
The petitioners herein (17 in number) state that they have been appointed on the post of computer operator in different places in district- Prayagraj/Allahabad in the year 2008.
Submission is that the petitioners having been appointed under the scheme of (MANREGA), are entitled for the benefits extended to the computer operator working in the scheme. As per the Government Orders, the petitioners were entitled to honorarium of Rs. 11,200/- along with other benefits which have not been accorded to the petitioners till date. Detailed representations have been made to the District Magistrate, Allahabad from time to time.
Be that as it may, in view of the innocuous prayer made in the present petition and noticing the fact that the issue being raised herein requires attention of the District Magistrate, Allahabad, the present petition is being disposed of with the directions as follows:
The petitioners shall make fresh representations along with copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today. In case, representations are filed, the respondent no.2 i.e., the District Magistrate/District Programme Samanvyak (MANREGA), District Prayagraj/Allahabad shall be under obligation to take expeditious decision by passing reasoned and speaking orders, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks form the date of receipt of the order.
