The petitioner, who is one of the defendants in Original Suit No.291 of 1996, has filed the instant petition for a direction to the trial court to decide the suit within a stipulated period.
A perusal of the order sheet reveals that certain miscellaneous applications are pending consideration before the trial court at the present moment.
Having regard to the facts of the case and the submissions made, the instant petition is disposed of with direction to the trial court to make serious endeavour to decide the suit expeditiously, by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments to the parties.
