It is alleged that on the basis of a registered will, proceedings under Section 34 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901 had been initiated, which has remained pending since 1.11.2014. It is stated that proceedings are summary in nature and ought to be concluded within a period of 90 days.
Considering the nature of order proposed to be passed, notices need not be issued to respondent no. 3. Respondent nos. 1 & 2 are represented by learned Standing Counsel.
In view of the fact that proceedings are summary in nature and are to be concluded expeditiously, it is provided that the concerned authority shall expedite the proceedings and conclude the same by fixing weekly dates, without granting unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties, except on payment of costs, within a period of three months, from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
