This writ petition is filed on account of refusal to accept land tax in respect of property covered by Ext.P3 patta. This property is situated in Sy.No.4/10 and 4/12 in Blcok No.5 of Chinnakkanal Village of Udumbanchola taluk vide sale deed No.2096/05 of Sub Registrar Office, Rajakumari. It seems that investigation is initiated against the issuance of patta. This patta appears to have been issued as per the proceedings in LA19/2000/c dated 7.8.2000. It seems that there are large number of fraudulent pattas were issued under the Kerala Land Assignment Rules. Therefore enquiry has been initiated, which resulted in stoppage of acceptance of land tax in Chinnakkanal Village. Petitioner relies the judgment of this Court in W.P.(C) No.12885/2014. In the light of the above judgment, land tax has been accepted on earlier occasions. In view of the above, petitioner shall be permitted to pay the land tax subject to the enquiry initiated against the issuance W.P.(C).No. 20949 of 2014

of patta. Needful shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
Writ petition is disposed of as above.
