JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ramachandran Nair, J.
The petitioner was the Karayama right holder and was performing the Kazhakam of Karikkode Sree Mahavishnu Sastha Temple for several years. Because of advanced age, she nominated her daughter Rajeswari who was appointed on daily wages as per Ext.P7 order. It appears that the Board subsequently passed Ext.P8 order by which she is now kept away from performing the duties. We are told that now a daily wage employee is doing the kazhakam duties in the temple. The petitioner has therefore filed Ext.P10 representation proposing the names of her daughter K.K.Usha Devi and that of her grandson K.S.Arun Kumar for granting Kazhakam duties to any of them. It is stated that so far no orders have been passed on Ext.P10 representation which is dated 19/07/2013.
2. When we took up the matter on 26/05/2014, we directed the learned standing counsel to get instruction. Today, it is submitted by the learned standing counsel that appropriate decision will be taken by the first respondent, the Secretary of the Board.
Accordingly, we direct the first respondent i.e. the Secretary of the Board to take a decision on Ext.P10 representation within 45 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
