This writ petition was filed with laches of more than 16 years and the Court by means of an order dated 13 May 2013 had permitted learned counsel for the petitioner to a file better affidavit explaining the laches.
On the previous occasion when the matter was listed, on the request of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter was directed to be listed in the next cause list and so it has come up today.
List has been revised. No one appears to press this petition.
Office has reported on 23.5.2018 that no better affidavit explaining the laches has been received as per status register.
This matter has been listed under the heading of group of cases likely to become infructuous without objection.
It appears that matter has become infructuous and it is, accordingly, dismissed.
