District and others … Respondents THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.6033 OF 2004 O R D E R This writ petition was filed assailing the order dated 12.06.2000 passed by the Joint Collector, Ranga Reddy District, in exercise of appellate powers under Section 24 of the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Abolition of Inams Act, 1955. The said appeal was filed against the third respondent herein and was dismissed by the appellate authority. No interim order was granted by this Court during the pendency of this writ petition.
While so, on 26.08.2014, Sri Krishna Reddy Putta, learned counsel for the third respondent, informed the Court that his client had expired and that necessary information would be furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioners for taking suitable steps. Thereafter, the matter was accordingly adjourned to 19.09.2014 and again to 17.10.2014. On 17.10.2014, time was again sought for taking necessary steps. However, no such steps have been taken till date. The writ petition therefore stands abated as against the third respondent and as the matter cannot be considered on its merits in the absence of the third respondent who was a party to the appellate order under challenge, the writ petition necessarily has to fail in its entirety.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as abated. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
