2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to consider his application dated 16.08.2017 for the issuance of patta in respect of Survey No.99/1C-2B-1, Muthukadu Village and Post, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.
3. Mr.T.Velumani learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in spite of the petitioner's application dated 16.08.2017 for the issuance of patta, the 3rd respondent has not passed any order so far.
4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 3rd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 16.08.2017 and pass orders, in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
