The petitioner has filed the above writ petition, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove the dustbins kept near the petitioner's house at Old Door No.6/2, New No.13, V.V.Colony, 2nd Street, West Velachery, Adambakkam, Chennai - 600 088, Corporation Ward No.177, Division 40A, Zone 13, and keep them in some other places and keep sufficient dustbins in different places in the locality forthwith.
2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 11.09.2017, Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, learned Standing Counsel, who took notice for the respondents sought time till today for getting instructions.
3. The petitioner has filed photographs of the dustbins kept on the road, which was not cleared for several weeks.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents have removed the dustbins from the existing place and placed it in some other place. Further, they have also cleared the garbage. The learned Standing Counsel also produced the photographs evidencing the removal of the dustbins.
5. The petitioner submitted that in view of the action taken by the respondents, the writ petition may be closed.
6. Recording the submissions made on either side, I do not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending.
7. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No costs.
Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
