ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for a Mandamus to set aside proceedings in Rc.E.332/2014 dated 20.07.2014 of respondent No.3, whereby he has bifurcated the petitioner’s shop.
At the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner has not disputed that against the order impugned in this writ petition, his client has the remedy of an appeal before the Director of Civil Supplies. The petitioner has not assigned any reason for bypassing the said remedy.
In view of the availability of an alternative remedy, which, in my opinion, is efficacious, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition for adjudication on merits.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed, without adjudicating on the merits of the case, with liberty to the petitioner to file an appeal, if he feels aggrieved by the impugned order of bifurcation.
As a sequel to the dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.32118 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
