JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to take appropriate action on his application dated 21.03.2017 for Sub Division and Patta Transfer in respect of his land in Survey No.82/2E, Varagurampattia Village, Thiruchengodu Taluk, Namakkal District.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's application dated 21.03.2017, the respondent has not sub divided and issued fresh patta, transferring in his name.
4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.03.2017 for sub division and patta transfer and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving notice to all the interested parties.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
