The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to take necessary action as requested in the representation of the petitioner dated 10.04.2017 to protect the running of rain water in the water way passing through the property of the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to protect the running of rain water, he gave representation to the respondents on 10.04.2017. However, the respondents have not considered the same yet.
3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation in accordance with law and give suitable directions to his subordinates.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.04.2017 and pass orders in accordance with law and also take necessary steps by giving suitable directions to his subordinates for protecting the running of the rain water as requested by the petitioner in his representation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
