For Petitioner : Mr.T.P.Prabakaran For Respondents : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to expedite enquiry on the complaint dated 01.06.2016 given by the petitioner and conclude the same within a stipulated time.
2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Myilswamy Gounder and two others, he has submitted a complaint dated 01.06.2016 before the Sub Collector, Pollachi, who, on receipt of the same, forwarded it to the second respondent, vide petition No.1481/2016 dated 07.06.2016. The second respondent, in turn, forwarded the said complaint to the first respondent, who sent one Manimaran, Sub Inspector of Police during the month of September, 2016, for conducting enquiry. Accordingly, he conducted enquiry. Even thereafter, no progress was made on the petitioner's complaint. Therefore, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the above stated relief.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondents, submitted that the petitioner is not co-operating with the respondent police for enquiry, which is denied by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, in order to give quietus to the issue, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the first respondent on 28.02.2017 and on such appearance, the first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry and do the needful in the manner known to law.
5. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
