Pursuant to our order dated 04.09.2018, Sri V.K. Shahi, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Sri Siddharth Dhaon, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents has filed two affidavits. One is sworn by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Lucknow placing on record the status of the investigation and another affidavit duly sworn by the Secretary, Higher Education, U.P., Lucknow annexing along with it a copy of the suggestions given by the 11 Members Committee constituted by the Chief Secretary, Government of U.P. under the order of this Court. The same are taken on record.
It may be recorded here that the Lucknow University has given its suggestions, which were attached along with affidavit of Vice-Chancellor filed on 06.08.2018.
We have perused both the suggestions given by the University as also by the State.
We, accordingly require the Vice-Chancellor, Lucknow University to examine the suggestions given by the State along with its affidavit filed today and thereafter prepare a comprehensive report of suggestions which the University may prepare incorporating all the suggestions of the State, which are not included in the University report/ suggestions so that we may proceed to consider the same on the next date and pass appropriate order.
As prayed, list this case on 29.10.2018, at 02:15 P.M. By the said date, the Vice-Chancellor, Lucknow University will ensure that the comprehensive report, as directed above, is placed before the Court. It would also be appropriate that the report be submitted in Hindi and English both.
Dr. Vinod Singh, Proctor, Lucknow University and Sri Harendra Singh, Superintendent of Police, (Trans Gomti), Lucknow are present today. They will again remain present on the next date fixed.
