JUDGMENT / ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for a writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to forthwith grant staff approval for the additional intake of 50 students to the petitioner institute for the academic year 2009-2010 by considering and passing orders on the application of the petitioner dated 25.03.2009.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents has submitted that the application of the petitioner, dated 25.03.2009, is in order and the same could be processed for passing appropriate orders.
4. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing on either side, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner, dated 25.03.2009, on merits and in accordance with law, on or before 20.06.2009.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
