L.Kannamurthy vs S.Suresh Kumar

Madras High Court|19 January, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Alleging that the order dated 23.11.2015 passed by this Court earlier in Cont. P. No.253 of 2015 has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.
2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on the last occasion, this Court directed the concerned Tahsildar to permit the petitioner to peruse the documents available. It appears that two documents available on file, have been perused by the petitioner and copies of those two documents have also been furnished. Now the grievance of the petitioner is that the other relevant documents are not available. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that those documents are not available.
3.Considering the submissions made, this Court does not find any willful disobedience of the order passed. If the petitioner is of the view that those documents are available with some other officials, it is well open to him to initiate appropriate proceedings. It is made clear that this order will not have any bearing on the pending criminal proceedings. Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed.
