JUDGMENT / ORDER

The wife,who is the respondent in H.M.O.P.No.168 of 2016, on the file of Sub-Court, Ponneri, is the Petitioner.
2.The said proceedings has been launched by the husband for divorce. The transfer is sought for mainly on the ground of convenience of the wife, who is said to be a resident of Thoothukudi. Even in the Original Petition in H.M.O.P.No.168 of 2016, the wife is shown to be a resident of Thoothukudi only.
3.Despite service of notice on the respondent/husband, he has not chosen to appear before this Court, either in person or through his counsel.
4.Considering the distance between Ponneri and Thoothukudi and the convenience of the wife, this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed and the proceedings in H.M.O.P.No.168 of 2016 are withdrawn from the file of Sub-Court, Ponneri and transferred to the file of Sub-Court, Thoothukudi. The Sub-Court, Ponneri is directed to despatch the records in H.M.O.P.No.168 of 2016 to Sub-Court, Thoothukudi within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The Sub-Court, Thoothukudi shall issue notice to both parties and on receipt of records, shall proceed with the same, in accordance with law. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
