The petitioner seeks the issue of appropriate directions for an early disposal of appeal No.194 of 2014 that is pending before the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions, Thiruvananthapuram. On 14.11.2014, I had directed the Registry to call for a report from the Tribunal regarding the time required for finally disposing of the appeal. Accordingly, a report dated 25.11.2014 has been placed on record. According to the Tribunal, three weeks time is required for finally disposing of the appeal. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Tribunal for Local Self Government Institutions, Thiruvananthapuram to finally dispose of Appeal No.194 of 2014, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three weeks of the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioner.
