The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging Exhibit P1 Award dated 30.08.2014 on the ground that the same has been passed under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 which stands repealed with effect from 01.01.2014. I have heard the learned Government Pleader also. Since the Award is passed only on 30.08.2014, the same is unsustainable, the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 having been repealed with effect from 01.01.2014. In view of the above, Exhibit P1 is set aside. The respondent shall proceed in the matter, in accordance with Section 24(1) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. kkj Sd/-
