Laya Rose.M vs General Convener

The petitioner participated in Thrissur Revenue District Level Competition for School Sasthrolsavam, 2014-2015. The petitioner stood at 7th position. Challenging this selection, the petitioner filed an appeal before the third respondent. The appeal has been rejected saying that the petitioner could not convince the appellate committee and the petitioner’s complaint factually is not correct. This Court under Article 226 of the Constitution is not expected to substitute the views of the statutory authorities and there is no illegality in taking such decision. Therefore, the writ petition is dismissed.
