Petitioner was appointed as Junior Engineer in PWD Department of the State in 1996. He places reliance upon his Janam Kundali in order to seek amendment in date of birth.
Law is settled that such belated application for correction in date of birth ought not be entertained. Even otherwise, under the relevant Rules of 1974 such an application would not be maintainable after such long lapse of time.
Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
